FERRUM 1994
A downloadable game
"The year is 1994. The location: the middle of nowhere. The mission: recover the lost relics before sunset."
FERRUM 1994 is a first-person analog survival horror experience. You are alone. Armed only with a metal detector, a shovel, and a flashlight, you arrive at an abandoned guard booth on the edge of a dark forest.
The locals warned you not to go in. They said the woods remember. They said the ground is restless. But the relics are out there, buried beneath the leaves and dirt. And you need the money.
Scan the ground with your metal detector. Dig where the signal peaks. The deeper you go, the colder it gets. But you are not the only one searching these woods.
Something is patrolling the forest. A towering, mechanical abomination known only as the Crankshaft.
It hears you: Every step you take, every branch you snap, every shovel of dirt—it all makes noise. If you run, it will hear you. If you walk, it will hear you.
It sees you: The darkness is your only ally. Your flashlight cuts through the black, but it also gives away your position. If the beam hits its eyes, it will charge.
It never stops: If it loses you, it will search. It will look around. And it will find you again.
As you uncover the relics, the atmosphere shifts. The sound of your truck in the distance is replaced by heavy, metallic footsteps. The guard booth that was your safe haven is now your only warning.
But the relics are just the beginning. The real nightmare starts when the sun goes down and the horde arrives.
SYSTEM MECHANICS
Immersive Analog Horror: Retro aesthetic, VHS-style visuals, and a heavy focus on diegetic audio. Listen to your footsteps, the hum of the metal detector, and the terrifying roar of the Crankshaft.
Realistic Detection & Digging: Use a metal detector to find buried relics, then switch to your shovel to physically dig them up. The process is slow. It leaves you vulnerable.
Dynamic AI Stalking: The monster relies on sight, sound, and light. It patrols, investigates noises, and chases with relentless speed. Hiding is not an option—running is the only way.
Nerve-Wracking Tension: A stalker horror where every sound matters. Your flashlight battery is life, but using it might get you killed.
Unforgiving Ending: No matter how hard you try, no matter how many relics you find... The Proving Grounds always claim their prey.
